My own recipe Monggo Guisado, quick, easy and full of flavors.
1 bag Monggo Beans
1 bag Chicharon
3 pcs. Longanisa, cut into 2
6 pcs. garlic seed, crushed
1 medium onion, sliced thin
1/2 red bell pepper
1/2 green bell pepper
2 tablespoon fish sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
1 tablespoon canola oil
Boil monggo beans in water in a deep pot till half way cooked on medium heat.
Cover the pot half way only. Boiling monggo beans tends to over flow.
Remove the floating monggo beans shell and set aside.
On a separate pan saute garlic, onion, langonisa, chicharon and bellpeppers.
Pour the sauteed ingredients in the monggo pot and return to boil in medium low till the beans, chicharon and langonisa are fully cooked.
Add more water if needed.
Season with fish sauce and ground pepper. Serve hot.
