Kamote Cue Recipe
A popular street food in the Philippines, my favorite afternoon snack.
Ingredients:
2 lbs sweet potato
3 cups brown sugar
1 tablespoon sesame seed
cooking oil
bamboo skewer
Cooking Procedure:
Peel sweet potato, cut, rinse and pat dry using a paper towel.
Heat oil in medium heat using a wok or a deep frying pan.
Deep fry sweet potato for 10 minutes till half way cooked.
Sprinkle brown sugar over sweet potato and stir for 5 to 10 minutes.
Continue stirring till the sugar melts and sticks to the sweet potato.
Sprinkle sesame and keep stirring for another 2 minutes.
Remove, string sweet potato and drain excess oil. Serve hot.

Thanks Jorp yes very namit gid. Pag serve ubos dayon hehehe time consuming lang pagluto pero worth it gid.

ReplyDeleteLee how I wish my camote pa d. tak an nako magdrive para lang sa kamote hehehe ang lunga waay gawa magpilit. guro pag bak it amo pag bubod no.
ReplyDeleteI love this and banana-q/ turon also :) sometimes we cut the camote parang fries then fry in brown sugar like camote-q. Yummy! :D
