Sago Gulaman



Another refreshing "Summer Treat" that any age of the family will surely enjoy.



Store bought Sago in Syrup and instead of making the gulaman (jello) I used Nata de Coco (strawberry flavor). Both product of the Philippines.






How to make a super tasty Sago at Gulaman refreshment:

Boil 4 to 5 cups of water in a deep pot in high heat.

Once water starts boiling reduce heat to medium and start adding the brown sugar a tablespoon at a time slowly.

Keep stirring to dilute the sugar granules.

Continue boiling for 10 to 15 minutes while continuously stirring.

Add the vanilla and the banana extract.

Simmer for 5 more minutes while continuously stirring.

Remove from heat.

Allow to cool and transfer in a jar or a plastic ware for serving.







How to serve:

Using a tall deep glass, pour 2 tablespoon of sugar syrup (really depends on how sweet you want it) 

Followed by the sago, crushed ice, gulaman (nata de coco) and lastly more crushed ice. 

Serve with a spoon to stir and enjoy!
