Monggo Guisado

My own recipe Monggo Guisado, quick, easy and full of flavors.


1 bag Monggo Beans

1 bag Chicharon

3 pcs. Longanisa, cut into 2

6 pcs. garlic seed, crushed

1 medium onion, sliced thin

1/2 red bell pepper

1/2 green bell pepper

2 tablespoon fish sauce

1/2 teaspoon ground pepper

1 tablespoon canola oil

Cooking Direction:

Boil monggo beans in water in a deep pot till half way cooked on medium heat.

Cover the pot half way only. Boiling monggo beans tends to over flow.

Remove the floating monggo beans shell and set aside.

On a separate pan saute garlic, onion, langonisa, chicharon and bellpeppers.

Pour the sauteed ingredients in the monggo pot and return to boil in medium low till the beans, chicharon and langonisa are fully cooked.

Add more water if needed.

Season with fish sauce and ground pepper. Serve hot.

  2. Hi Anon... mag boil ka nang beans use around 6 cups of water first. kinda keep an eye kay kis a naga overflow. once that happen,lower the heat. you can keep adding water if you prefer more soupy texture.
