Pork and Mushroom in Black Beans Sauce

Try this simple yet very tasty recipe.


2 lbs  pork belly, sliced 1/2 inch

1 lb mushroom, sliced thin

1 thumb size ginger, sliced thin

5-6 garlic cloves, minced

2 tablespoon black beans  sauce

1 tablespoon hoisin sauce

1/2 - 1 tablespoon sugar to taste

ground black pepper to taste

1 tablespoon cooking oil

water for boiling the meat

Cooking Direction:

Saute ginger and garlic in cooking oil till caramelized.

Add pork and saute till pork turns golden brown.

Season with ground black pepper, hoisin sauce and black beans sauce. 

Add 2-3 cups of water or more if needed. 

Simmer in medium low heat till pork is fully cooked. 

Season with sugar and more ground black pepper to taste. 

Add mushroom and simmer in low heat till mushroom is fully cooked. 

Remove from heat and serve over steam rice.
