My menu was KBL (kadyos, baboy and langka) a famous Ilonggo dish but no time to go to the market for some langka (jack fruit) so I went ahead and cooked it anyway. Surprising but it did taste really good.
1 lb pork ribs cut into pieces
1 cup red beans
6-8 pieces kamias (iba)(optional)
1 bundle lemon grass
1 medium size tomato
1 small onion
1 tablespoon Knorr Sinigang Mix
ground black pepper and salt to taste
Boil red beans till half way cooked then add the slices of pork ribs, lemon grass, onion and tomatoes.
Continue boiling till beans and pork are almost cooked.
Add the kamias and continue to boil till meat and beans are fully cooked.
Season with Sinigang Mix, ground black pepper and salt to taste.
Remove from heat serve.
